As someone who grew up in poverty - I’m talking begging grocery stores and gas stations for food as a 7-year-old poverty - it was important for me to learn everything about money.
I saw other kids bringing lunch to school, having birthday parties, living in a house. I always thought, I want to have those things too! I need to do really good in school because if I do good in school, then I’ll get a good job and if I get a good job, then I’ll have money for those things when I’m older!
